Introduction
Research within Gymnastics England is directed by the main aims of the organisation i.e. to increase and sustain participation in our sport; to improve quality of provision; and to improve performance throughout the pathway. Strategic planning for Gymnastics England is related to these aims and is centred on the areas of Workforce Development (the people involved in gymnastics), Club Development and Opportunities to Perform and Achieve (competition and performance programmes). Any research that is conducted from 2009-2013 will be related to these strategic areas.
